QFilms opens at the Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, with a reception from 6:30–8 p.m., followed by Give Me the Ball! and the short film Kiloran Bay from 8–10 p.m. Give Me the Ball! is a documentary about Long Beach tennis champion and LGBTQ+ trailblazer Billie Jean King. Opening-night tickets are $30 general or $24 for seniors 55+ and students. The reception is included for opening-night ticket holders and festival pass holders; it is not a free standalone event.
